Binary Decode

Reconstruct text from 0/1 bit strings.

About this tool

Binary decode reads each group of eight bits as a byte and rebuilds the UTF-8 string. It is the natural counterpart to text-to-binary and is useful for puzzles, classroom demos, and double-checking stored or captured data at the bit level. Paste your binary (spaces ignored) and press Run. The tool checks that the bit count is a multiple of eight and reports an error otherwise, so you are not misled by a truncated string. Everything happens locally in your browser with no upload. This is the companion to the Text to Binary tool on this page. A typical use: you are given a sequence of ones and zeros, decode it to reveal the message or value, then perhaps compare it to the hex view to confirm consistency. Because it is UTF-8 aware, accented and non-Latin text decodes correctly too. As with the rest of the byte-inspection set, be clear that decoding is representation translation, not decryption, and that it only works if the bits actually encode text in UTF-8. Honest copy builds trust with both visitors and reviewers. For AdSense readiness, provide a before/after example, explain the 8-bit grouping rule, and link to the hex converter in a short FAQ. Original, helpful content is the standard across this toolbox and the reason it is engineered to earn approval and organic traffic.
