Strong Password Generator
Create secure, random passwords.
About this tool
A strong password generator removes the temptation to reuse passwords or invent them by hand — both of which lead to weak, guessable credentials. This one draws each character from a cryptographically secure random source and lets you tune length plus the inclusion of uppercase, lowercase, numbers, and symbols.
Set your options and press Generate. The password is created in your browser and never transmitted, so it is safe to use for real accounts — no server ever sees it. As a baseline, 16 or more characters with all four character classes is a strong choice; for high-value accounts, go longer.
Use a password manager to store the result; you should not need to memorize a generated password, only the manager's master password. The point of a generator is to produce something no human would choose and no attacker could guess, then let software remember it.
An important honesty point: a strong password protects one account, but reuse across sites defeats it — if one service is breached, every other using the same password is exposed. Generate a unique password per account. Also, never send generated passwords over unencrypted channels.
