Sort Words
Alphabetize the words in text.
About this tool
A sort-words tool takes the words in your text and arranges them in alphabetical order, which is handy for building glossaries, checklists, or deduplicated vocabularies. It splits on spaces, sorts, and joins the result back into a single line.
How it works: the input is broken into tokens, sorted with standard locale ordering, and recombined. It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.
Who uses it: editors building indexes, students organizing terms, and developers normalizing token lists. Pair it with word-frequency when you want counts alongside order.
Keep in mind it sorts words, not lines — punctuation stays attached to words, so "apple." and "apple" sort as different items. For line-by-line sorting, use the sort-lines tool.
This tool is part of a privacy-first toolbox of original, practical utilities designed to rank and earn approval.
